Amarillo office provides transportation in Potter and Randall Counties under
the American Medical Response's Medicaid contract. General Public transportation
with in the city of Amarillo is prohibited by the state. Amarillo's Medicaid
contract allows operation from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM when trips are authorized by
American Medical Response. Trips with in the rural area of these counties
are handled and set up by the Canyon office. T
Panhandle Transit’s routes are set to provide service to as many clients as
possible with the least expense as possible. Public transportation often has
several people on the same bus at the same time.
Panhandle Transit request that you give us 24 hour’s notice of your trip and
appointment time. This allows us time to plan the trip to provide an on-time
delivery. Trips scheduled on the same day will be worked into the current day’s
schedule and we can not guarantee a delivery time. We will attempt to give you a
reasonable pickup time that will deliver you prior to your appointment time.
Please give as much notice of the trip as possible.
