Panhandle Transit to purchase new vehicles.Panhandle Transit will award contract to purchase new vehicles.Today's Date -- Panhandle Transit announces invitation to propose the purchase of 4 Type III Para-Transit vehicles. Panhandle anounced today that they will be the lead agency to secure 11 new vehicles. Panhandle plans to purchase 4 new 2008 vehicles and assist the City of Tyler in there bid for 7 vehicles. Panhandle will open the bids on August 15th, 2007 at 10:00 AM in it's main office 1309 West 8th Street Amarillo Texas. These vehicles will be placed in service in the Rural Transit District in early 2008. Panhandle has 51 vehicles currently providing service to the top 28 counties of the Texas Panhandle.
